The Forward Tech Fest schedule has been set (http://www.ftf2012.com/) and
this schedule basically leaves August 18th as the open day within FTF to
have BarCampMadison.
Due to other commitments, I'm unable to lead the efforts to make
BarCampMadison happen this year. So, I'm hoping someone else (or a group)
can step up and make this happen. I will definitely be able to help out
(and so will Greg Tracy and others), but I can't be the main organizer.
We have plenty of money leftover from previous BarCamps, so that should not
be a problem.

I would like to help in any way I can. I'm probably not very useful in the
locating a venue department, but if someone else is I can help out in any
other way.

I can't say I'll be a ton of help by the way of connections/venues, etc., but I can definitely help out with recruiting and organizing and I'd love to get involved.

Ok, let's get together and figure out what needs to be done to make this
happen. Aug 18th is just over a month away so we'll have to work quickly.
Who's available to meet tomorrow evening downtown at 6pm? I'm thinking
having it at Horizon, but I'll double check availability with Preston.

Hi Andrew:
Horizon is available, and I'll reserve the conference room (seats 8, ~10 if
you squeeze) for you from 5:30 on....
My availability isn't guaranteed at that time, but I'll try to free up. The
building doors and elevators lock to fob-access at 6, so I recommend
starting a little early and having a contact number for someone who can let
any stragglers in. (you can always go down/out, and if folks are coming who
are 24/7 access your help with this is appreciated :)
Greg and Philip: you have special unique knowledge and power regarding
prior years, so any time you can dedicate to pass the torch (and various
passwords, contacts, etc) for this year would be great.

Just a reminder that we're having a meeting at 5:30 pm today at Horizon
Coworking on the 8th floor of the US Bank building. The building doors
lock at 6pm so if you get locked out give me a call at 608-320-1138 and
we'll send someone to let you in.
