i was trying to think of a topic for a talk for barcamp melbourne...
i could do one on codeigniter the php framework... or open source
flash... or php and flash...... or ajax and php...
they just all seem a little boring and topics easily seen at other
meetings. i get the feeling with barcamp that topics should try and be
a little more interesting or creative then other conferences - is this
an incorrect impression?
cheers

Just do it =)
if one person takes away some thing new from your talk,
and uses it to make their life easier you have made a massive
contribution =)
make a few notes and a slide or two, then ask folks what they
know on the day, wend yourself a talk based on topics folks
are interested in =)
it does pay to have a few demos working before the day tho ;)
