While there's truth in what you say, there's no mention of a license.

Hey yall,
I'm the author of said code and we can officially make it open. It just
hadn't occurred to me yet that anyone would think about using it, but I
wrote it as a volunteer so we can give it a GNU or BSD or CC license,
or whatever you all would prefer, and I'll update the source with said
license. I'd be more than happy to also supply the backend php that
does xml, json, csv, and xslt on the xml for the presentation, and db
schema (which is pretty simple) for reference to anyone that wants it -
you can't really scrape it..

Hi Lindsey!

I think that would be fantastic! I'm one interested in the code as well.

Yeah, this would be an excellent foundation to build out a two-way
tool... one where you can vote for sessions on-demand (think real-time
remote participation) as well as propose sessions within days of an
actual event (rather than months out).

Would you be comfortable hosting this with Google Hosting or DevJaVu
(devjavu.com) or your repository?

Excellent!

I'm cool with hosting it, no problemo. Let me get it packaged up in
such a fashion as to make it decent for distribution and I'll post the
link in here.

Alrighty, for those who'd like to download the code, please see the
README in there as well.
