Potential Date for Barcamp Bangkok 4

I talked with Sripatum University on Friday. They have reserved their
facilities and will provide considerable support for us for Barcamp
Bangkok 4 and have give us a date we can use the facility of May
22-23.

Before we accept that date and make an official announcement, I want
to know: are there any major events or major roadblocks for that date?

I know no date will be the best date for EVERYBODY, but as long as
there is not some major event or some obvious problem with the date, I
am inclined to go with it. Finding a facility that is willing to
sponsor us as well as Sripatum has is very, very hard to find.

As for how we hold Barcamp--that is a discussion we can have at the
first organizers meeting which we can arrange after we confirm the
date.

somebody said barcamp hongkong in april or may.

I think there's no crash, at least domestically.
There will be Mekong ICT Camp 2010 during May 31-June 4 (for selected
applications),
and BarCamp Mekong/Chiang Mai on June 5 (for public, it's a BarCamp),
both events in Chiang Mai.

Btw, in Mekong ICT Camp, we will invite some international speakers
to give some keynotes and participate the camp, so this could be
an opportunity for BarCamp Bangkok to share some speakers,
before they go to Chiang Mai.

Invited speakers, for example, are from Open NZ project (Open Governance Data),
P2P Foundation, and Center for Internet & Society (India).
