I read on somebody's tweets that the date for BarCamp Kathmandu has
been postponed to 29th. If it is true, please let us here at the
mailing list. There is no Feb 29 btw :P
and I think the event should be on some public holiday. However, I
request all to stick with the 20th Feb date, if there are not any
specific problems.

And to just clear the confusion as to why the date was selected so early,
I was also shocked to hear 20th Feb, 2010. Shanker and Tushar are correct that the longer we delay it, the excitement just dies down, so hitting the iron when its hot i suppose.

So, what is the date for the Second BarCamp Kathmandu? Did the meeting
decide on it, or are we still discussing it here in this mailing list.

Btw, just a small request. I dont know how relevant or good it is. If
possible, please don't call a meeting in a very short notice of a day
or two. It is ok for some of us to meet whenever we please, but if it
involves the larger group and issues, it would be nice to have some
time to be informed and decide.

Dhokaima is good venue, the concern being can everyone return back on time from here at 8pm or later?

There should be some method to telecommute in the meeting, since I'd never be able to attend meeting at that hour on that particular day. I'll use twitter for the time until another solution is implemented.

I agree with Ankur dai and I have more to say too :)

Apart from a well-timed notice, lets also make it a habit of making
meeting decisions/discussions available to the subscribers of this
mailing list or other people concerned. If the meeting is informal or
just for hanging out, lets discuss it outside of this mailing list.

Sorry for being late. I want to summarize about the "informal" meeting, the topic of this thread.

Attendees: Shankar, Tushar, BibekS, Pawan, Surmandal (oh, his name is Saroj)
Venue: Dhokaima Cafe (with mouthwatering Honey Hot Lemon)

Discussion:
1. BibekS proposed the date of #bcktm10 to be shifted a week later b'coz IoE guys have exam until 20th Feb. Everyone of us thought that's a nice proposal. The agenda has been floated in twitter and here in the mailing list too in one way or other.

2. We discussed about venue, but the talk remained inconclusive. But if we are going to organize at Yalamaya, we need to book it asap so that we will get the big hall.

3. Pawan proposed some cool ideas for spreading the message. (Pawan will share the idea himself here.)

4. Pawan wrote 3 mails in the list to start the real work and drag everyone to get involved. Please reply to them.

5. We also discussed about giving more benefits and visibility to the sponsors than last time. This is also under discussion in another thread.
