Dear Somasekara
                                 Whether we calculate DA at notional 100% DA neutralisation or tapered DA as we were receiving till a few months back it matters very little.For example a pre 2002 retiree got a monthly difference of Rs9000 on account of 100% DA. If we apply the multiplying factor of 0.12 it works out to a difference of little more thanRs100.Pls let me know my understanding of the subject is in order.Let us not be penny wise pound foolish

For arrears it will come to 1080 x 17 = 18360
