Pl elaborate the effect of new DA formula for all retirees after merger of 8080 index. The method of calculation or whether it will be beneficial or not.

At last the cat is out of the bag, to the disappointment of senior retirees. The ex-gratia is very low and not on an expected lines. One thought that would be approximately nearer to RBI updation formula.

There is no refixation or merger of DA.

Oct 22 pension was without 100%DA. At least the revised DA could have been notionally considered for ex gratia.

Now that settlement is signed, as review of ex-gratia is to be done in April 24 union should take up the matter with IBA for a decent compensation.

Hope needful be done.

It is unfortunate the retirees are left high and dry after waiting so long, without adequate increase

Far below from expectation. 

For pre 2002 retirees, at least notional DA with 100 per cent neutralization should be taken into account, instead of actual DA paid. Though 100 percent neutralization was paid prospectively, it was based on old and continuous/incremental calculations. 

Hope Unions will try to impress upon the IBA.

It is a valid point. The 100%DA was denied earlier and given prospective effect in 2023. Morally we were eligible for that even earlier. It is setting right of an anomaly. On this basis we should be allowed to include the revised DA notionally to arrive at the ex-gratia. This will be doing some justice.

Similarly the DA should be merged at 8088 points before calculating the ex-gratia.

Further the factor is confusing. It should be something more for pre2002 retirees.

The above can be considered while doing the review next month.

The 9th 10th and 11th BPS pensioners are the worst hit. It's a double bonanza for them. Not only the Ex-gratia factor is meaningless and incomprehensible on the one hand, but the Special Pay which forms a major part of the salary hike is not reckoned for Pension calculation. What a pity. This special pay component is increasing with each BPS and may be it will be 100% in the future BPS. That wd be the greatest achievement of our leaders and it will be remembered for generations to come. Pat our leaders for their fantastic achievements. God save the pensioners.

AIBEA's exgratia shert shows that pre 2002 retirees exgratia calculated on 100 % DA neutralization not actual DA as on ocr. 22.if you will check the table you will DA against basic is on 100% neutralization, for example if you take 7th bos basic and DA you will find DA @ 406.32 calculated actually pre 2002 where getting tapered DA on Oct 2022

Ex gratia is not even equilant to da revision done once on 6 month either of central govt or bank.after 25 years retirees have been treated as beggars.di you know beggars some time do not accept small coins also they return.what proud we can have having served bank .I am 77 years old.at any time I may take last breath.but I do feel shame
