Many of us do  not know for a fact whether IBA has reconstituted the Sub Committee and who is chairing the committee.  Pensioners Federation have sought audience with IBA to discuss issues on pensioners updation. The court has directed IBA to submit an interim report on pension updation. on 20th April 2022 . 

Pensioners are making wild guesses through their posts such as madam will intervene at the right time and let us have patience. Some have forecast that given the past record of IBA and UFBE,  they would jointly pull wool over the eyes of Pensioners. Nothing much can be expected  on 20th April 2022 as some cock and bull story will be  placed before the court and the case will be adjourned.  Pensioners will continue to write about updation. The sun will rise and set every day. Things would move normally.  Let us survive on expectation.

The matter will be stretched up tp November 2022. Thereafter IBA will say it is on agenda of next settlement n keep on back burner. So another 5 years will be lost

IBA being non transparent and secretive is acting as extra constitutional body.As it has no locus standi on the action except recommendation it playing subterfuges on old pensioners.This govt And FM are doing lip service.Most of the bureaucracy and govt bodies which are known for Himalayan corruption are blaming the banks as if they playing with people's money while political interference has spoiler banks to develop garbage bins of NpAs.FM cannot be relied upon.DFS from Chida times is against banks and the unions who under threat and in collusion with them.The announcement of strike etc are eye wash to keep subscription by working unions and their top brass.All know the gravity but they are playing subterfuges including our fed leaders diverting us into peripheral issues of a few anomalies.Let us not increase our stress believng these organise diversion with circular information etc.Unkess single is kept on cardinal demand of updation of pension all wool drag is into technicalities. VR

So many Govt have come and gone in the past but nobody bothered about  Bank Pensioners.Our fate only will decide what is in store irrespctive of the ruling Party and Govt.

There was a government, when our pension system was introduced in 1995.  Even when traditional pension for government employees was stopped in 2004, many of us got 2^nd option for pension in 2010--there was also a govt.

Yes-our demands are genuine and legitimate  and we should try to achieve our goal. But, we should also see whatever we have got and need not loose our heart for protecting our mental as well as physical health. Insulting and use of undesirable language against those who are trying to achieve our desires, in my opinion, is not desirable.

Mr.Basu I agree with you that we should not use undesirable language against Union leaders. But I am afraid I have to disagree with you when you say

"those who are trying to achieve our desires".

We do not have any iota of evidence of Unions trying to achieve Updation or 100% DA. Union leaders have the right to negotiate retirees' issues. We cannot  say Updation talks have failed because there are no discussions on Updation at all.

In wage negotiations IBA comes out with establishment expenses details and estimated cost after revision. But in case of Updation our leaders are reporting" we raised the issue and IBA said the cost to be studied". Why Unions are not insisting IBA to submit the cost of Updation in the next meeting so that discussions take place. In updation case the court said without first taking up the case with management petitioners are not right in approaching courts. If IBA submits cost details and UFBU and IBA discuss issue and talks fail then Pensioners will approach the judiciary. Hiding cost details is not befitting for militant unions.

No Govt irrespective of the party will shower benefits without strong and consistent demand by Unions.Law is the same for both RBI employees and Pensioners and UFBU. By acting within the scope of law RBI pensioners  and employees jointly launched consistent struggle for 9 years and achieved updation. But we find UFBU struggle is only in circulars.It s disgusting to note that a recognized Trade Union organization claiming we have written three letters to IBA and they are not responding. As a Trade Union UFBU can approach the Finance Minister in person and discuss issue. UFBU can call for a one or two days strike exclusively for updation. UFBU has many options instead of crying that IBA has not responded.  UFBU should  boycott IBA

and demand an alternative negotiating team by Banks.

At last if UFBU is not interested in retirees issues it should submit to IBA/Banks to that UFBU will not negotiate retirees issues so that Banks/DFS can appoint  a committee to negotiate retirees issues. Keeping right to negotiate retirees issue and in every BPS surrender benefits provided in EPR 1995 to IBA inlieu of cerian benefits to employees is unfair.

Instead, better to submit to supreme court seeking permission to commit suicide for inability to face the hardship faced due to  collusion of UFBU and IBA and  GOVT against the  pensioners aged over 75 to 80 years.

 Hon court may show some mercy and permit to mervy death  instead of prolonging the case indefinitely.

Sir I am totally against this. Why should we loose our valued life just because of these little fellows? Let us mount pressure on them by the ways which are easy for us. Let us not go to this end. Let us try to meet the CJI from Delhi people and make impact. Instead we could conduct dharnas in every state capital, which is very much possible by us. For God's sake we should not loose hope and hope to get better future is the main life line of life
