(g)  It may be mentioned that 100 per cent DA benefit was extended to those retired between 5th to 7th wage settlement w.e.f. 1.10.2023 and therefore they will not get benefit of 100 per cent DA in computing exgratia amount. 

We are approaching IBA/ UFBU with the request that benefit of 100 per cent DA may be extended on notional basis as on 31.10.2022 and then ex-gratia amount may be calculated.

On 100 percentage DA neutralization to , 5th to 7th bps,do not know what AIBRF doing ,on 08.03.2024 it has circulated a letter congratulating UFBU for achiveing

Great BPS settlement for retirees and same day issues another letter that they have been betrayed, do not know why these people are playing with poor retirees sentiment

Nothing will happen. Both IBA and UFBU worked, recalculated, fine tuned Ex gratia for three months to see that pensioners get ex gratia, as minimum as possible.

1. A formula for ex gratia which has no head and tail is introduced.They cannot explain on what basis this formula is arrived at except with the evil agenda of reducing ex gratia.

2. Next the condition is EX gratia will be paid on total pension (tapered) paid as on 31.10.22 and  it will be reviewed next in April 2024.

By this  condition two times DA revised in March 2023 and Sep 2023 and 100% DA from Oct 23 excluded from Ex gratia. Of course from April 24 we will get ex gratia on the latest pension slip. But we will lose arrears for 17 months on this difference. ,

Why DA was not merged for Pensioners retired before 2022.

After merging DA basic pension will increase. In future there will be some decent increase in DA also as Basic pension is revised. So Ex gratia also will increase. To avoid this this issue was pushed to residual issue and it will remain as residual issue till next BPS.

Another method of cheating is if you are eligible for Ra.149 Ex gratia you will get only 100 Rs. This

 is daylight robbery. Every rupee is important. It should have been rounded off to the nearest Rupee.

Adding fuel to fire Unions have given undertaking that pensioners will not use the ex gratia offer/terms in court against IBA. But IBA has not given any commitment that it will not use this against pensioners in courts.

Shri Soma Shekhara says from April 24 we will get ex-gratia on the latest pension slip.

Is it correct? Has there been any mention like this in the settlement.

It is noted that every year review will be done and first review will be Apri 24.

If the ex-gratia will be given on the latest pension still it will be good.

 Dear Sir,

It appears AIBRF   circular  2024/026  para ( g ) stating  Tapering D R to  Pre Nov 2022 retirees for Ex Gratia contradicts in what is stated in Pages  26/ 27 of  Jt note , wherein  D R for the purpose of Ex Gratiio to pre Nov 2022 is indicated at 100 % neutralization basis.

What may be correct position ?

As per the settlement condition Banks may review the same  and pay ex gratia as per March 31  pension slip along with April Pension.  Again it may be reviewed in April 2025, April 2026 and April 2027. DA revision if any  During Sep 24 will not be counted for Ex gratia.So every year we will lose Ex gratia benefit for 6 months on DA difference.
