Exgratia.  Big Shot

Still Mr Mohan Ji has  positive  mind on UFBU  with giving more points to the advantage of Pensioner.   Many will come to the rescue of Union and uFBU.  For getting this Exgratia sanctioned. As if it is more big an achievement than 17%  wage hike.
Even  Govt. Will not  come to rescue  since  we can do nothing  for our betterment.  This is the fate for present employees also in future.
Only benefitted  persons are  Leaders, Leaders and Leaders.

Dear Friends,

An illustration is shown on calculation of Ex gratia to pensioners by AIBEA.

There was an earlier communication from AIBEA that ex gratia for retired
officers will be in the range of 7000-10000.Nobody will agree to such
humiliation.

Dear Friends,

The much awaited Ex gratia is based on following formula.
Full Jt.Note too attached herewith.
Prem Shankar Sharma <premshanka...@gmail.com>: Mar 08 06:02PM +0530

Kindly elaborate with example.

Gajanan Chaudhari <gajan...@gmail.com>: Mar 08 04:30AM -0800

It's a meagre amount and DA staggering or 100%notional for pre 2002
retirees not clear.

very meagre amt is coming.pl

Srinivasan K <sriin...@gmail.com>: Mar 08 05:50PM +0530

Very disappointing amt. As usual the aged horse has betrayed all.We ve to
wait for Supreme Court Verdict wrt updation of pension

Sanjay J <sanjay...@gmail.com>: Mar 08 06:24PM +0530

Highly disappointing.
Not even half of what was expected.

Gopalakrishnan Ramachandran <chandra...@gmail.com>: Mar 08 06:24PM +0530

At last the cat is out of the bag, to the disappointment of senior
retirees. The ex-gratia is very low and not on an expected lines. One
thought that would be approximately nearer to RBI updation formula.
There is no refixation or merger of DA.
Oct 22 pension was without 100%DA. At least the revised DA could have been
notionally considered for ex gratia.
Now that settlement is signed, as review of ex-gratia is to be done in
April 24 union should take up the matter with IBA for a decent compensation.
Hope needful be done.
It is unfortunate the retirees are left high and dry after waiting so long,
without adequate increase

Thank you so much Mohan Ji for providing steak and relevant information to
retirees. I always trust on you mails for all retirees issues.

Pl elaborate the effect of new DA formula for all retirees after merger of
8080 index. The method of calculation or whether it will be beneficial or
not.

Kalyanasundaram Subramaniam <1952...@gmail.com>: Mar 08 04:47AM -0800

Far below from expectation.

For pre 2002 retirees, at least notional DA with 100 per cent
neutralization should be taken into account, instead of actual DA paid.
Though 100 percent neutralization was paid prospectively, it was based on
old and continuous/incremental calculations.

Hope Unions will try to impress upon the IBA.

Nothing is seen about merging of basic to new DA index of 8088. Any more
information to come about multiplying factor.

We are feeling grossly cheated by the UFBU ! The leaders are thumping their
chests for giving huge benefits in salaries to the working employees, but
we got only a meagre amount in the name of ex-gratia ! There is a very apt
saying in Hindi-ऊंट के मुंह में जीरा ! It applies to us !

Friends.
Today is a doomed day for the bank pensioners. It is the death knell for
the pensioners. After coming across the ex-gratia, we have come to
understand that these Union over smarts have played a cruel joke on us.
Where is Mr. Bandlish who always claimed in the meetings that a decent hike
of updation/ex-gratia will happen? In this way, all our retiree federations
and unions have failed miserably. They could not convince the Hon'ble FM
Madam Sitharaman and now we have been taken for a ride by the working
Unions. Now do not hope for any good for the retirees. Such an ex-gratia
was never expected. I shall give more reactions later on. At this time, I
am not in the proper frame of mind to comment as it has hurt all the
retirees who were fighting all these years and expecting some justice,
which has been totally belied now.

MOHAN P <moha...@gmail.com>: Mar 09 09:35AM +0530

Dear Mr Dhond,

This is the point we have discussed with illustrations, here, since few
months back, while unions mentioned on future DA formula under 12th BPS/9thJ
N. for employees through circulars.

Let me clarify:

Two things may happen here in case of pensioners/family pensioners too as
in the case of serving employees:

1.Merger of CPI @ 8088 points w.e.f 1.11.22 with basic pay of serving
employees.

2.Shifting the CPI series to 2016=100 instead of old base year 1960=100

The same formula will be applicable to retired employees too w.e.f 1.11.22.

1.Notional increase of their basic pension to the extend of merged
points.(8088)
2.DR rate too may be changed as in the case of serving employees.
3.New DR base would be 123.03 as on 1.11.22 and while comparing current
rate,( Feb '24)same comes to 138.76
4.At the rate of 1% per point ,current DR, work out to 138.76-123.03=15.73%

Result is pensioners may come under on a single platform with single DR
rate as applicable to.employees instead of 8 categories existing now(5th to
12th BPS)

Hope the above clarifies the point.
Regards

Sri Somasehara's comments are sarcastic, I feel!

What is there to comment when they say ' substantial'
and take us for a ride?
