There was an earlier communication from AIBEA that ex gratia for retired officers will be in the range of 7000-10000.Nobody will agree to such humiliation.

Sir,
Since DA index base year is changed to 2016=100, the multiplying factor for corresponding change in the basic pension is not mentioned anywhere.

UFBU leaders are world class trade union leaders. No trade union leader in the world would have thought of this EX gratia formula. We are lucky to have such leaders. First they have put so much hard work and sacrifice to arrive at this formula. Next they took so much pain to keep it secret for months so that trade unions in the world should not steal this amazing formula.

For 7th BPS notionally 100 per cent DA should be taken into account instead of taking actual payment of DA.

100 per cent DA neutralisation has been given prospective effect as per agreement. But it is applicable even as on Oct 2022.

IBA/UFBU must issue necessary clarification.

Do UFBU and IBA treat Pensioners as beggars begging for alms? For this pittance, we have been waiting for so long as if it was a Suspense thriller. We as Pensioners, get this paltry amount paid in a 5 year wage settlement in the form of Ex-gratia, during just one year in the form of DR for which we need not wait for sanction nor do we wait like a suspense thriller. I am really utterly disappointed at this shabby treatment of pensioners. Let UFBU and IBA delink themselves from Pensioners issues and let some other organization take it up.

Dear Sir,
The exgratia amount is disappointing to the core. Adding insult to injury, the pre nov 2022 pensioners are worst affected that even here 100%DA neutralisation has not been given effect. This should not wait till review to be done in April 2024, as we retirees expect better factor for all the pensioners.

Yes reworking is necessary with 40 50 correction before exgratia  is worked out. Should mot become one more subterfuge by union and associations. SBI is already stung by electoral bearer bond lies.

IBA and UFBU cleverly cheated pensioners once again. While the quantum of Ex gratia was kept secret, Bandish , Prem and others made misleading statements that ex gratia is substantial and seniors will get more. Even CHV and other roasted taht Ex gratia is substantial.
But finally what turned out is senior pensioners of Public sector Banks have been treated as street dogs, I never expected that veteran trade union leaders like CHV and AIBOC leaders would stoop to this low level.
There are so many anomalies in this agreement.
By rounding of 49 to 0 how many crores banks want to save?
100% DA from Oct 23 to Mar 24 excluded from Ex gratia.
How can unions agree that  Pensioners will not use Ex gratia offer in courts against IBA? It is totally illegal and unconstitutional.
Is there any clarity? If Basic is merged with DA@8088 points from 01.11.2022, Ex gratia should be calculated on this revised pension instead of old Basic and DA.

Ex gratia fell very very short of  our expectations. So there is no point in talking about that matter.

AIBEA has given an example of ex-gratia for all settlements wherein it is observed that in case of 4th to 7th bps 100% da neutralization has been taken into account notionally.

Mr.Kalyana Sundaram
I am sorry I could not understand your message. In the Ex gratia agreement it is clearly mentioned  calculation is based on gross pension paid for Oct 2022.
So how 100% DA applicable to this calculation as 100% DA is paid from Oct 23.
Further DA merger is also not happening for those retired before 01.1.22 as per AIBRF message.

To Mr J Soma Shekara

For pre-2002 retirees, 100 per cent DA neutralization has been accepted. But it was implemented prospectively instead of giving arrears from 2005. Let it be. However, notionally as on November 2022, the DA with 100 per cent neutralization should only be calculated. Not the amount paid to us (without 100 per cent neutralisation).

Even the AIBEA example has been worked out on this basis.

For post 2002 retirees, it has been calculated based on 100 per cent DA (as their DA on November 2022 was with 100 per cent neutralization). So applying Nov 22 DA without 100 per cent neutraliation for pre-2002 retirees will be an anamaly.

But this has not been specifically stated in the Joint note.

S Kalyanasundaram
