They resell co2 lasers from china in the usa. We paid 5000 US plus a delivery and taxes, probably around 6000 US. You can check it out here: http://wiki.acemonstertoys.org/Laser_Cutter It was a small group of us that pitched in cash for the purchase and in return we get free time on the cutter. So far it has worked very well, right out of the box. The control software is not fancy, but it does the job.
