ERP like application usin RoR (or any other Ruby based framework)

Hi All,
Is RoR suitable to create ERP applications (like http://ofbiz.apache.org)? Have anybody tried creating ERP like application using Ruby on Rails ?
If so pls share your experiences.

Hey Mugunth,

 

I dont have exp. building ERP apps using Rails... But yes... we can do it and it is possible... But be cautious with the size of the DBs...they might struck you off from the loading point of view... you might have to build specific DB calls rather than using Find_all... or other dynamic find methods.

Hi to all,

Hope u all going well. Friends i'm facing some problem regarding to action mailer. I have done action mailer successfully and its run perfectly. Mail is going and recipient receive also. Everything is fine.

But my problem is  i want to schedule this  email. Means i want to set time so that in future mail will be sent automatically scheduled time. So what changes is required in my mailer class??

We are making an ERP app here.Its a web based software,we have kept an
extremely simple design of the database and UI too.It is an extremely
mission critical app with modules like inventory and accounting.Also
we have already made an accounting app which is facing no problems at
all in the data handling already 6 months in running.

Also, we used the JRuby bridge in a couple of places,which helped in
using Java libraries.
