I see. This is what we call "being volunteered" at BTT :-). A bit too short a notice, so I'm not sure. Maybe Sidu can give a practice talk for the one he's giving at foss.in? :)

Lol, you have a high opinion of my preparedness. I doubt I'll be ready
with until the day before :)
That said, we have a team working on a high-impact open source project
for a non-profit, and they may be able to put something together.
We'll confirm in a day or so once they've figured it out.

That would be great. I can also talk about the git workflow we're trying to
implement at BTT. Mostly basic stuff with a bit of rebase and interactive
rebase thrown in. I'm not sure about the interest level in this, but if its
of some value for the junior devs, I can do a small talk on it. I'm hoping
that would at least initiate some discussion about our workflows.
It is an open-source Survey application (with custom forms and all that jazz) with a Titanium based mobile client. This is our first Rails app - so the talk would be more geared towards noobs like us.
The areas we expect to cover: - Titanium vs Rhomobile (native wins!). - Backbone vs vanilla JS. (we use Backbone) - Building API using Rails for the Titanium client. The web app also uses the same API. - Single Sign On: All the apps use our own OAuth provider.

Sounds very interesting. Looks like there are plenty of non-noob topics in there :). Looking forward to seeing you guys on Friday. We have the usual setup - a mounted projector, plenty of room, chairs to sit in and a fridge full of snacks/drinks. Please call me on my number (see gathers.us page) if you need anything else.

I am coming for tomorrow's meet from JP Nagar (7th Phase). Planning to
start around 9:30AM, if anyone wants to carpool with me, please write
back. I am gonna check my email in the morning to see if anyone wants to
come along.
Regards,
Raghavan.
