Every MT in the industry would have some or the other trick known to
him.  Even if he might think it as insignificant another new MT might
find it very useful. So this is an effort to make a collection of Tips
4 MTs.

eg:
To increase your computer speed, clear your temporary files regularly
(from window/temp folder and from internet explorer)!

Tips:
**  Do not run all the softwares simultaneously like Stedman's,
Quicklook, English Dictionary, and other Word and MT related softwares.

 Close the least used one, even if you require you to run the program
again.

** If your computer has less RAM it is advisible to do online searches
if there are already many softwares running.

** Sometimes you feel the computer is slow if the cursor does not move
fast.  This can be changed by going to the control panel, choosing
keyboard properties, speed.  Change your repeat delay to short and
repeat rate to fast.

If you are in India and if you set your home page as google, it will
automatically go to india google page, google.co.in. However, though
this may be useful for general indians, as medical transcriptionists
working for US, a better result will be got from google.com. but to go
to google.com everytime would be difficult, so set your home page to
www.google.com/ncr this will take you only to google.com page and not
automatically be transferred to india page.

Another advantage is on the first line, when you are searching for a
drug or product, the results of froogle will come on the first search
(which does not come on google.co.in).

Froogle is product search of google. This is useful while searching for

products in US like soaps, toys, or any stuff, and to know whether it
is a registered mark and hence need to be capitalized.
