Experience with a full JavaScript framework – Ideally ExtJS would be that
framework, but if they have extensive experience with YUI, Dojo,
JQuery/JQueryUI, Prototype or a suitable other all JavaScript framework
that is acceptable. They can easily learn ExtJS if they have heavy
experience with one of the others.
*AJAX/Event Driven programming* – experience with AJAX (Asynchronous
JavaScript and XML), in a cross-browser environment. Understanding
JavaScript callbacks and event driven programming as it relates to AJAX
driven web applications.
*JSON* – We don’t use XML. We use JSON as the transport format for our data
and our APIs. They need to have lots of experience in reading/writing AJAX
between a server and a web browser client, use of complex structures in
JSON and an understanding of how JSON translates to JavaScript objects on
the client side.
