[RWP] Ride to Tekeludu (on the way to hyd) - to build a house

Hi all,
Sorry the visit to the Miyawaki trip has been deferred as the organizers were busy planting trees this weekend. Will keep you posted� Coming weekend we plan to go to this village Tekeludu in Ananthpur district on the way to Hyderabad beyond the new Airport - 120 kms one way. If you plan to ride and stay over you need to let us know. If you plan to visit and get back please plan yourself. Sorry we will not be around to coordinate as we need to reach earlier...

Plan for the coming weekend is to go to Kalyan's village (please check this for those who don't know) --
We need to help him construct an eco friendly house -
This is the type of room we are going to be constructing in Hindupur this weekend - http://www.earthbagstructures.com/basics/stepbystep.htm
please go through the videos - very informative and will be helpful when starting to build.
We also need to buy barbwire and carry to hindupur - rest of the material is available locally there.
Some of us will travel on Friday evening to stay over there and start early on Saturday morning. Those keen on going and returning on the same day can gang up. You can cycle the distance too but you may not be able to work.
If you not keen on getting your hands dirty may be you should choose another weekend to visit! :) We also intend to check a piece of land that we plan to create a forest on.

Hi all,
We had a great time last weekend at this place. Here are the pics from the trip, a lot of hard work and a lot more of fun - great learning, awesome food (raagi mudde balls (white mixed with fat rice), bisibellebhaath, color rice, pulav, curd rice, paisam, etc over two days - belle chai (jaggery tea) and lemon juice in breaks.
Few people from the group made it Vinay (thanks so much for joining). Manjula & Aditya were there too. Manjula rode back.
A bunch of friends are going this weekend too. You can ride to the place for a day or more. Please call Karthik at 98451 55447. If you are interested. If you wish to hitch a ride some of them leaving today itself and will be there till late Sunday evening.
