01. Call for Paper Special Issue Journal of Social Complexity

CALL FOR PAPERS JOURNAL OF SOCIAL COMPLEXITY Vol. 4 No. 1
SPECIAL THEME: COMPLEXITY OF ELECTION

Election is a hot issue in politics, and since long time the
challenges have been addressed to political science and even economics
to give us more and more insights on it. While election plays a very
important role in the social life of democracy, it has also been
understood commonly for keeping the highest degree of complexity. The
root of the complexity might come from the cultural, economic,
anthropological, psychological, and other general social aspects of
the society. Election, be it as a process to emerge a new democratic
leader or a small voting process for having a public policy and
collective decisions are laid upon a very wide aspects. This is the
heart of our interest for further understanding while we have
complexity sciences in our hands as a sharp tool to analyze and to
scrutinize.

This is the main idea and motive behind the special theme proposed:
"Complexity of Election", to be elaborated in the next issue of the
Journal of Social Complexity. You are encouraged and invited to submit
your research papers, opinions, speculative thinkings, and book-review
to the Editorial Board by October 31th 2008 00:00GMT. Your ideas on
this are surely important to our further understanding about the
employment of computation and mathematics in social analysis.
