India has been exporting asbestos products to countries like Bhutan as well.
As to Indian asbestos products in Sau Paulo, it is possible that the
Chinese are using Indian brand names to push Chinese products.
Recently, there has been cases in India Chinese products were found
which were being sold as 'Made in India' products. Indian Commerce
Ministry has received complaints about Chinese firms offloading their
products as Indian products. Instances of spurious Chinese products
making their way into India with fake "Made in India" labels are on
the rise.
The fact remains China and India are also expected to present large
numbers of people suffering from asbestos realted diseases because
controls over trade, manufacturing and use of asbestos in these
countries are non-existent.
