I won't be able to make it. My daughters cheerleading schedule has
changed and they are practicing every day for the next few weeks. UGH!
Guess I'll have to wait and see what January's schedule is like before I
commit to anything.

Ehg... I was planning on coming, but remembered yesterday afternoon that I have a holiday even this evening.

Maybe taking another run at this after the holidays?

Hello, Guys.

Unfortunately, as it turned out, I am unable to participate in the Baltimore Joomla Users Group at this time.  I am very glad that you all have come together and that there will actually be a Maryland group.  I'm sure in time, the group will grow.

I will check back in with you in the Spring regarding membership if my situation changes.

Good Luck!

since people started cancelling wednesday night i decided to cancel, unfortunately i just noticed my email went out to my draft folder and was never sent, I do appologize if anyone showed up.  Now i notice that no one was going to show up anyways so all is good.  after the first of the year would probably be a great time to start if you ask me people will be getting new computers and there will not be any more holiday parties so we will just keep communication here at this time, thank you

i am still interested in hearing back on the integration of AEC and CB???  how is the new account expiration control looking have they fixed all the bugs and come out with a new tutorial???  is the community builder still a seamless combination with aec??? inquiring minds would like to know

I'll be setting up a couple of demo sites on my server this weekend -
using JomSocial and Community Builder. Once I'm done I'll send you the
links and I'll let you know how it went.

I've gotten AEC version 0.12.6 all set-up with a Community Builder
version 1.2.x based site and a JomSocial version 1.5.248 based site.
Both used the same generic configuration process and I didn't run into
any problems. I used an quick installation (complete with dummy demo
content). Both sites are essentially using the same set of extensions -
except where they diverged according to the different "community"
extensions, for example the CB site is using GroupJive for it's "group"
feature, while JS uses it's own internal "group" feature.

The only navigation workflow difference is on the JS site where you
click the JOIN NOW button on the "home" page and you're taken to the JS
"community" page. This is because the dummy content has the JOIN NOW
graphic is linked to the "community" page so it would just be a matter
of changing the link to direct to the AEC plans page.

You can view the Community Builder site at:
http://comuna3cb.technopuzzle.net/

You can view the JomSocail site at:
http://comuna3js.technopuzzle.net/

If you have any questions just let me know.

Sorry I missed the December 3 meeting. It's end of semester, very busy
time, and I had not noticed that this group switched from email to a
Google Group for communication. (Just joined the Google Group today.)

I'm still interested, if the group is still forming.

Thanks,
Carl Schuetz

Carl -

Yeah, because of the holidays and everyone's schedule this fell through this month.  We are looking at taking another run at it in January.

Ill start a new thread to start planning for that...

January like December I can still do things at my condo since it is the focal point for this group, dates and times look like the only thing we need.  Thursday nights looked the best for everyone last time.  Any suggestions???

Im trying to remember - did we say the 1st thursday of the month?  If so, maybe we should normally stick with that... it would be the 7th of January.

January 7 (or any Thursday eve) at Bob's condo meeting room is okay
for me.
