I just got off the phone with one of our members, Alan Grover, who has been
hanging out with Sherwin lately and the rumors are, unfortunately, true.
The city (finally) inspected the Load of Fun building and found it wanting.
There's no permanent judgement in place, but until further notice Sherwin
has closed the building and *strongly requested* that tenants not come in.
I don't think that means you'll be arrested or fined if you do come in, but
it does mean you need a really good, possibly life or career threatening
reason to even try. It's not recommended.
Sherwin isn't sure what exactly they are going to do as a permanent
solution, but he has a meeting scheduled with the city for Tuesday, Sept. 4
to discuss the situation.
This is all the information I have, we'll know more after the meeting on
Tuesday. I don't know if that meeting is going to be public, but I can post
here if I get any more information, anyone else who hears anything could do
the same. If you know or have connections with anyone in the city, please
get in touch with them or at least keep them on speed dial, we may need
help.

I got the feeling from Alan that it wasn't clear what *exactly* was needed,
and he didn't have any contact information for a person at the city to
direct people to. The meeting on Tuesday will clarify what's required and
how advocates can help. I also got the feeling that the city isn't being
agressive and doesn't want to bring down the hammer immediately.
So right now it's a pre-emptive, get your stuff together, who-do-you-know
information gathering thing. If you know someone personally and are willing
to speak with them on behalf of The LoF, you can call Alan or send me an
email directly and I can tell him.
