Caveat - those routers sometimes have strange issues when certain wireless chipsets connect as clients. Mostly debugged in the latest nightly DD-WRT builds, but your life will be pain and frustration otherwise.

personally I love pfsense for routing, but it does need some form of x86 hardware... but.. i also have a lot of custom rules, static ips, and vpn needs...
I just use off-the shelf routers as dumb access points to the network
