Job Description Job Summary: An Analyst 2 - Application Development is responsible for all aspects of designing, developing, deploying and maintaining applications on multiple types of computer hardware and operating systems at Constellation Energy (CEG) and affiliate companies. Reports To: Supervisor/Project Manager in associated department. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential job functions) . Coordinates closely with internal clients and other team members to gather information, analyze business processes and information systems. May require guidance from more experienced personnel to develop and confirm project specifications. . Work independently or under moderate supervision to develop practical, workable, cost-effective solutions to business problems to satisfy client requirements. May assist less experienced personnel. . May participate in the management and optimization of computing resources. . Assists in project planning, scheduling, and implementation. Job Specifications: Knowledge: . Demonstrated understanding of concepts, practices and procedures in a specific field of functional and/or technical activity. Additional consideration given to candidates with previous experience in Finance, Accounting or Capital Markets. . Demonstrated understanding of business unit needs to provide optimal IT support within their functional area. . Continually develops current knowledge of and compliance with Constellation Energy IT preferred technologies and methodologies, corporate policies, technology standards, product standards, version standards, change management and project management standards and their possible application in the organization. . Experience with systems implementation and integration using one or more application development languages, relational databases, source code revision control tools, and monitoring tools. Additional consideration given to candidates with hands-on implementation experience as an IT Consultant. . Enhances technical and professional knowledge and skills through the use of trade journals, seminars, courses, etc.

Ability to determine user requirements and ensure that system/process improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. . Ability to design, code, test, debug, document and implement complex software applications with embedded performance monitoring, exception management and recovery capabilities. . Ability to install, test, implement and upgrade packaged application software from simple to complex. . Ability to develop and implement application recovery plans and procedures. . Ability to monitor application performance, recommend and implement improvements. . Ability to collaborate with internal staff, clients and IT Management on all aspects of an applications lifecycle (inception - retirement). . Ability to provide effective communications to internal staff, clients and IT Management regarding application or project status, issues, outages, etc. . Ability to produce quality application documentation including requirements, design, test procedures, support logs, help desk procedures, etc. Education/Experience: . Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience. . Minimum 3 years related technology experience. . At least 2 years related experience in corporation of comparable size and complexity preferred.
