Description: This position is unique to RHS, it is a newly created position due to the growth of the organization. This person will work independently and travel daily to the 41 facilities in the Baltimore area providing care, supervision, resolve scheduling issues, and process paper work. Initiates and completes the necessary functions of operations in his/her assigned facilities as a support to the District Manager. The primary focus is the timely and appropriate delivery of care and the optimization of volume. In addition certain tasks will include the assignment of personnel and the procurement of supplies and equipment; the performance of quality assurance reviews; the monitoring of productivity levels; and the development and maintenance of effective working relationships with key personnel.
1. Assists as directed by the District manager in the employment process, orientation of new employees and performance monitoring and appraisal. Provides education related facility and overall organization protocols.
2. Carries out certain functions related to staffing, use of equipment, billing and payroll within budgetary guidelines and facility needs.
3. Responsible for the overall management and operations of the Respiratory Care Program for their assigned facilities including 24 hour coverage. Establishes systems and communication to assure the deliver of a quality program.
4. Works closely with the District Manager to assure a current program of assessment and monitoring, communication, resolution and modification of policies related to care the the reimbursement thereof.
5. Assists in the enhancement of RHSs status as a provider of quality services thorough sales activities. These activities include but are not limited to facility presentations, trade shows and other industry related events.
6. Monitors customer satisfaction. Reports all complaints, findings, assessments and resolutions to the DM. Establishes good working relationships with assigned facilities and staff.
7. Assures that weekly therapy reports, labor logs and census reports are completed and forwarded according to schedule.
8. Coordinates and provides inservice education and training for facility and staff.
9. Is responsible for assuring that supplies and equipment are available for the timely and appropriate delivery of care.
A respiratory therapist mush have a high level of knowledge of respiratory therapy and practice required through completion of a NBRC approved and accredited program and one year of clinical practice experience under medical direction. Must have a current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and current State Licensure for Respiratory Care Practitioner. Must be available on call after hours and work every other weekend. Must possess a strong sense of self-discipline.
