I have been using Slackware for a long time now. It's my favorite
distro specially for servers. It has a kind of steep learning curve
at first because it's package manager doesn't handle dependencies and
that turn a lot of people off. Once you get over that hump I find
Slackware a lot more user friendly than most other distro's.

that sounds cool. Im still trying to get things going ive used windows all my life. Its hard to change haha. Maybe you can help since your a mint user i have lmde and i try to do full update. It says theres broken packages it turns out the vlc update is the culprit. Once removed it starts to update. But then it kinda freezes i forcequit then next restart the desktop doesnt load. My stability level doesnt pass 3 so i dont think it warrants a useless installation. Thanks:)
