There is a brief charity overview and an exclusive opportunity for Bagshot residents to take part in a free prize draw so please read on.
The Lisa May Foundation is a Bagshot based charitable foundation wanting to help people on our doorstep as well as the wider global community.
Our main aim is to raise awareness of our work and to raise funds to continue providing an extra resource to our local community.
Our original roots were fundraising to supply aid to natural disaster relief around the world, our first project came from a personal disaster.
Lisa May the daughter of Cllr John May our Immediate past Mayor Of Surrey Heath lost her life to the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami.
Money raised went directly to the disaster area and helped put the fisherman of Thailand back to work by building them 39 new longboats.
We then went on to other projects around the globe as and when we found causes we could guarantee to get aid to directly.
Places we have helped so far include: Thailand, Brazil and Haiti.
In the UK two students received scholarships to go to university, who may otherwise have not had the opportunity to attend.
However since May 2010 when Cllr May completed his year in office as Mayor, he decided to put a more focused approach on the plight of smaller charities that are on our doorstep.
So we now continue to build a fund for natural disaster relief as and when it is required as well as helping the smaller, lesser known charities too.
We are currently supporting the following local causes:
Parity for Disability in Camberley and Farnborough
Kennel Lane School - Bracknell
The Prostate Project - Frimley Park Hospital & Royal Surrey
The Heart 2 Heart Appeal - Frimley Park Hospital.
So what do we want from our new neighbours?

to support us.
Last but not least...
We really want to support our community as a whole not just the charities...
- We want to help drive local business back into local areas
- Provide ways for people to donate to charity but also get something out of it for themselves.
How are we going to do this?
We are looking to grab the attention of more and more people and we need you to give us permission to communicate with you, our neighbours.
So please email us your details so we can add you to our database to allow us to show you how we are helping people and how you too could help others and possibly benefit yourselves.

If you reply to this email before the 19th Feb we are putting all your responses into a prize draw and the two winners picked at random will win a pizza voucher for Domino’s Pizza in Bagshot, for you to collect a pizza of your choice.
The vouchers are for Any Size Pizza and must be collection only orders so Bagshot residents are within
easy reach of this prize!

We will add you to our database and our Pizza Prize Draw.
Only the winning members will be notified by email and you can claim your prize from our office and say hello or we can deliver it to your door on our rounds in the area.
The draw takes place on Monday 20th Feb so if you want a chance of dinner on us why not reply now?!
