Lisa May sadly lost her life on Dec 26th 2004 so this time of year is especially poignant for the May family. In response to their sense of deep personal loss, the May family decided to celebrate Lisa’s memory by forming the Lisa May Foundation back, a charity raising funds for victims of natural disaster across the world.
However immediately after John's year as Mayor of Surrey Heath in 2010 he decided to expand the foundation by supporting selected local charities in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, as well as continuing to support natural disasters across the globe. During tough times we must all do what we can and the smaller charities tend to get forgotten when only a small amount can make a huge difference to them.
As a new way to raise both money and awareness Lisa May Foundation is sponsoring this year's Camberley Theatre’s pantomime, Cinderella.
As part of the sponsorship they have been allocated an entire performance on Tuesday 27th December at 4.30pm. They are gifting a percentage of the tickets to some of the charities we support and selling the balance of them at a reduced cost. 100% of all ticket sales from this one performance will be coming directly to the Lisa May Foundation.
So please take a moment to check your diaries and ask friends and family to do the same. If you are free why not book seats for those you are lucky enough to be sharing this Christmas with.
Tickets are ONLY £10 for children and £12 for adults, what better way to spend an afternoon together having fun whilst also donating.
To order tickets, please complete the ticket order form and return it with payment to the charity's office or send me an email and I will forward it to the office. eve...@bagshotvillage.com
Ticket numbers are limited and the team want to make sure the performance is packed to honour Lisa's memory and boost the funds for their deserving charities: The Prostate Project, Heart 2 Heart Appeal, Kennel Lane School and Parity for disability.
