Subject: Baltimore Oriole
I haven't seen a Baltimore Oriole in years. I don't really remember
when I saw the last one, but I'm pretty sure I was riding with my mom,
which means I didn't have my drivers license, which means it was at
least... seven or eight years ago.

I sort of was beginning to suspect that they weren't around here
anymore, but today I was driving down, I believe, the same road that I
saw that last one on, and suddenly there was the flash of orange and
black. At first, when I saw a black bird with a bit of color, I
thought it was a red-winged blackbird. We get those right along. But
then I saw the orange. It was only for a brief moment, but what a
thrill!

It might be the last I see for another five, six, or eight years, but
it's good to know they're still around!
