One really has to wonder whether medical life-saving procedures have created
a class of sub-humans. Some months back, a woman was conversing on her cell
phone while driving on one of those roads along the Delta where rain had
flooded some of the roadways. She was on her phone and was talking with a
family member about driving across the river when she quite plainly drove
into the river up to her roof. Her last words were something to the effect
of, "Well, the water is over my lap now, and is getting up toward my
chest..." According to the news report she was very calmly talking about
the water about to engulf her. She died in that mishap.
I don't quite understand it. Are people really really really this stupid or
do they think they're watching video games or TV and that everything is
going to come out all right?
