I refuse to click on any of your links, you goddamned click-monger.
No doubt the information displayed therein is only what is already
blindingly obvious to anyone within tweeting range of the Bay Area:
The Bay Bridge is closed.
Yawn.

I bet you touched your door knob three times and washed your hands
repeatedly before making this post. Now that you made your flame
post, you're probably dancing in a circle while listening to the
latest country hit. Your perfect world is coming to fruition!
Have a great day, you lovable loser!
No. Your entire world revolves around yourself, oblivious to the fact
that the rest of the world thinks you're a complete wanker.
Now take your worldwide piece of crap and shove it up your worldwide ass.

Viatology is the study of travel. Arthur Frommer would be a
viatologist. Also could be the study of St. Viator.
Amen.

FSVO "respond".
Sorry, do I know you?
Let's speak facts, shall we? You believe my entire world revolves
around myself, oblivious to the fact that the rest of the world (i.e.,
your Usenet buddies) thinks I'm a complete wanker.
Your sweeping statement shows you have no logical basis in your
emotion-based argument. You certainly would NOT make an ideal juror
if called upon! Besides that, you're simply here to feed David
Nebenzahl's ego. Go ahead and join in his circle dance w/ the latest
country hit.
I am one of those weird people that socialises w/ family and friends.
You know, those weird people who support me and whom I support --
offline. ...Separate from my studies and public contributions.
My advice to you... Try meeting people offline and maybe, just maybe,
you won't be influenced by the pessimistic viewpoints of the Usenet
misfits who, by happenstance, will never in their lifetimes will
compete w/ the Worldwide Transportation Library (WWTL). Did you know
that the WWTL is available 24/7 at http://wwtl.info ? Bookmark it on
your smartphone at http://m.wwtl.info .
Stay tuned for more WWTL announcement in the coming future!
Have a great day! Try filling your heart w/ love and smile -- teach
David Nebenzahl the same. Buddha loves you.

I think the appropriate way to deal with the traffic-seeking Carl Rogers
bot is to heap abuse upon his each and every post here until he realizes
he's simply not wanted. (And no clicks on his web-shite, either.)
The technique that has worked best for me (with occasional lapses when I
fail to do this) is to kill-file her and anybody who responds to her, on
the first response, because it is clear that the first response will not
be the last, most of the time.

Has been tried before. Does not work. Makes it worse, in fact.

The only that would work is making MTR moderated.

It doesn't seem to be working. Maybe ignoring him completely would
work.

Both methods have been tried in the past (for a while it seemed that
literally nobody was replying to his posts - DAGS for "OSTT" on RAD
and MTR) and it appears that C*rl is just a machine that cannot be
stopped.
It's truly astounding that he doesn't realize that literally nobody
cares about his web site, and any worthwhile content that may be there
will never be seen on principle all of the people he's annoyed (which,
oddly enough, are pretty much all roadgeeks and driving enthusiasts
with internet access and a Usenet feed, who would be the logical
target audience for a road-related website.)

But in the ignore-and-killfile approach, there isn't the extra drek
which seems to do nothing to deter him.
This group (ba.transportation) is getting a lot like la.eats, which was
also burdened by a troublesome individual. The harangue-him-back
approach didn't really work there, either.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, chip shot in the other, body thoroughly
used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
If nobody cared, they'd just ignore him. And why don't you guys just
ignore him? Is he violating a charter?
Really, a polite description of why he is ignorable, and a rational
description suitable for your grandmother as to why he shouldn't be
posting, then just ignoring him, would make a lot of people happy.
There's always alt.flame for people who _like_ that sort of thing.
(I've found this entertaining in the past, but now it is just old)

Not all of us have killfiles, by the way.
I agree! Could also put him in the kill file too. Maybe someone will
get tired and launch a major DDoS attack on his site. ^_^

Right; thanks for pointing that out.
I see no point in viewing the world through killfile-colored glasses.

Does the, "trolling frequency drops to zero," metric include DQEs?

No, there isn't.
Just because I see subject headers from spam messages, or those from
known trolls, doesn't mean I'm compelled to click on them to read them.
It's called selective reading.
