We finally got to listen and dance to the Ernie Small Memorial, a
traditional, Big Band. Wow! We had dinner, too; the food, as usual,
was fine but the band was excellent; all of the rhythms and tempi were
danceable and the variety was nice, too. Mostly Swings but there were
a couple of Waltzes, Rumbas, Sambas, Balboas, and TwoSteps.

Downbeat is the Last Sunday at 7 with a modest $5 cover charge. We'll
there, at Savanna Jazz, 2937 Mission Street. You should be there, too.
