OCTOBER
Weds 1: Gay Comedy Gold presents "Two Amused", featuring the very
witty dead pan and sharp improv styling of Karen Ripley.

Opening for Ripley is Doug Holsclaw, two time winner of the
Cable Car Comic of the Year award, veteran playwright and
comic actor, and co-star of Tom Ammiano and Marga Gomez.
A special treat to catch these two great comics on one
stage.

Weds 15: Josie's Cabaret presents "Self Portrait", a series which
presents theatrical/performance art on themes of gender
identity, sexual preference, personal history, transformation,
survival and the wisdom and knowledge that comes from our
individual journeys through life.
Opening the series is Star Maris in "The Last Sunrise",
a multi-media performance art/theatre work incorporating song,
spoken word, photography, live and taped music and dance.
"The Last Sunrise" explores male to female gender transformation
using a symbolic scenario of a descent into darkness

"Enough About You", a hilarious trip through the chaotic,
high-tech life of a "new wave new age boomer lesbian capitalist".
Pittman transforms her anger at sexism, homophobia and life's
injustice by venturing on a spiritual path that includes a
lot of humor and making people laugh as an antidote to day
to day life's grievances and as a way to bring people together.
