I can vaguely remember that there are some lesbi/gay running group
meeting for a while in the Baylands. Does anyone know about this? Or about
any other such group in the Palo Alto area? I'm trying to get my running
somewhat organized...

Thanks,
Gertraud
P.S.: Please answer me by mail - I'm not reading this group regularly.

The BayLands FrontRunners, established in October 1992, currently has
over
450 active members, primarily from Palo Alto and other Santa Clara and
San Mateo county cities. About 27% of members are women.

BayLands FrontRunners is part of a loose network of international
FrontRunner clubs; membership in BayLands FrontRunners is open to
anyone.
BayLands FrontRunners is a member of USA Track and Field.

About 120 people come to the Fun Run at 9:00 am each Saturday morning
at the Baylands Athletic Center. Take Embarcadero Rd East from 101,
turn left at the second stop light (Geng Rd) and follow to the end.
People choose to run 5 miles, run 3 miles, or walk 3 miles. Afterwards,
the group usually descends upon a local coffee shop.

There are other weekly runs, yearly races, social events, etc. If you
decide to come and/or sign up, tell 'em Curt sent you so I can earn my
toaster oven.
