correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the people associated with both
restaurants are one in the same.....

: That's Palapas, and it's in Seascape. I've never eaten there, but it has

actually, it's Larkin Valley if you go east of hwy 1, and San Andreas
if you go go west of Hwy 1

and Palapas has great views, great seafood with interesting salsas (like
papaya, guava, etc), your choice of regualr refried beans or black beans,
good margaritas, nice interior color scheme.....

if you're in the mood, after your meal, take a walk across the street to
the Seascape Resort Lodge - nice outdoor patio, bar, walkway to the beach...
and for food with a continental flair, try the restaurant (Sanderlings)
there - great food - they have fish specials Mon-Thu for $9.95 (regularly
about $15 on up) and their Chiopino, regualr $21 for $11 on Sundays...

Gayles is good, ....

: Hummph. I think Alfaro's bread is superior and the pastries at the Buttery

: Still, I can't fault success.

Alfaro's is great, and I can get their breads at local stores too....

I have heard that, but I am not sure.

To each there own. I find it to be no better than standard
commercial french bread, too much crust and white bread in the center.
I got their breat a few times and we wound up tossing it out.
