An Iowa Farmer’s Quest for No Ordinary Pig

Quote of the day, from the above:
“I can build a motorcycle, I can fly a model airplane, I can throw
somebody out of a bar, I can wrestle a pig and I can program a
computer,” he said. “I’m a strange duck, that’s for sure.”

Is it a slow news day at the Times?

Sort-of interesting, but I thought it would be more so when, in my curosry
scan of tht subject line, I didn't notice the word "farmer".

But then, there's this

> his pig won a heritage pork culinary contest in 2010"
>"It was great meat," said Staffan Terje, the chef and owner of Perbacco
> in San Francisco, who prepared Mr. Blake's pig for the competition.

So that got me thinking: how does the pig accept such an award?

No, it's not been a slow work day, I just needed a five-minute break. :)

I guess he makes a speech thanking his publicist and his agent.

I think you need to read the above quote more carefully. :)

Recorded in advance, on the off-chance that he would win?

That would be exceedingly clever indeed, on the part of the organizers!
