Nothing new about a cop hanging out at that intersection. And nothing
new about catching cyclists blowing through it at high speed. My son and
I knew it was going to happen ahead of time; we'd ridden over Jefferson
and were about to make the left onto Canada but had to wait a bit longer
because we saw this guy barreling down the hill and fly through it. We
then took off and thought hmm... wonder if he's going to... he did, and
the cop was there.
I've never, ever, been hassled for going through one of those stop signs
at a slower-than-walking pace. In other words, no need for a track
stand, no need for putting a foot down (and I'd love to have a cop tell
me otherwise!!!). But blowing through at full speed is not only going to
get you a ticket, but it's dangerous too.
