Countdown to 500 comets program

Hi All, Being part of Alan Hale's (of the Comet Hale Bopp fame) 'Countdown to 500 comets' program, finally I've managed to reach this awaited spot. Comet A1 McNaught made me wait for this.   http://www.earthriseinstitute.org/com_awards.html   List of all observers here : http://www.earthriseinstitute.org/comobservers.html   It was a very slow climb up here observing 10 comets from Alan Hale's list (thanks to missing out couple easy chances). Comparitively a novice very much, glad to be listed along with the most reknowned comet observers (I solely depend on many of the observers listed here, their observation reports before going out observing comets) This was Alan's mail to me.   Dear Amar, Thanks for your report -- I've (finally) updated the appropriate pages, and congratulations on getting the 10th comet! I'm still looking for a sponsor for the award (although I'm busy with a lot of other things right now, so that's been a bit of a "back burner" item these days). Keep up the observing!
