Some updates from FB: Another one says: A large near-Earth asteroid named 2012 LZ1, which is about the size of a city block, will be zipping past Earth today. Watch live streaming coverage starting at 8:00 p.m. EDT, Thursday (0000 GMT Friday). Link to watch the asteroid fly-by later today (5pm PST): at http://events.slooh.com/ Yesterday Pluto occulted a star, even though it was not for our
location. I am missing this today, I will be with the CCD next couple of nights. Cant something like this happen when I am with the CCD?? Am yet to find out which part of the sky and constellation this asteroid flyby is in. |
