There's nothing to indicate the death threat came from an Obama supporter.
Indeed - it's a threat repeated DAILY in blogs and newsgroups... like this
one.
Furthermore, it was notable how Mr. McCain responded to that question in the
debate last night.
He said, "I stand behind everyone who attends my rallies".
So even if the creep in the audience was an Obama plant, McCain stands

That's entirely possible. Not many plumbing firms that cost $1m can
generate a 25% profit margin. Someone may have plumbing confused with
software.
But then again, he wouldn't be the first nor the last person to borrow
money with which to purchase a bidniss.
Except at the moment, that seems unlikely.

hate-mongering, McCain actually said that he stands behind EVERYONE who
attends his rallies.

Jackson County touch-screens switched votes, 3 residents say

At least three early voters in Jackson County had a hard time voting
for candidates they want to win.
Virginia Matheney and Calvin Thomas said touch-screen machines in the
county clerk's office in Ripley kept switching their votes from
Democratic to Republican candidates.
"When I touched the screen for Barack Obama, the check mark moved from
his box to the box indicating a vote for John McCain," said Matheney,
who lives in Kenna.
When she reported the problem, she said, the poll worker in charge
"responded that everything was all right. It was just that the screen
was sensitive and I was touching the screen too hard. She instructed
me to use only my fingernail."
Even after she began using her fingernail, Matheney said, the problem
persisted.
When she tried to vote for candidates running for two open seats on
the Supreme Court, the electronic machine canceled her second vote
twice.
On her third try, Matheney managed to cast votes for both Menis
Ketchum and Margaret Workman, Democratic candidates for the two open
seats.
"Leaving the polling place," she said, "I wondered how many voters
might not have noticed that their vote was switched on the machine."
Calvin Thomas, 81, who retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood in
1983 and now lives in Ripley, experienced the same problem.
"When I pushed Obama, it jumped to McCain. When I went down to
governor's office and punched [Gov. Joe] Manchin, it went to the other
dude. When I went to Karen Facemyer [the incumbent Republican state
senator], I pushed the Democrat, but it jumped again.
"The rest of them were OK, but the machine sent my votes for those top
three offices from the Democrat to the Republican," Thomas said.
"When I hollered about that, the girl who worked there said, 'Push it
again.' I pushed Obama again and it stayed there. Then, the machine
did the same thing for other candidates.
"Why didn't she [the polling clerk] tell me before I even used the
machine that might happen? And how many people, especially my age,
didn't notice that?
"Jackson County is a Republican county. I am a registered Republican,
but I have been voting Democrat since the 1990s."
Thomas, who brought his daughter with him to the polls, said she had
the same problem.

Small, independently owned business don't make profits. The owners take
the profits as salary for themselves or (sometimes) as bonus for their
employees. Now, if "Joe" is making more that 250K in salary from his
plumbing business, he should be paying more in taxes. He's got plenty to
spare. If a few more thousand in taxes is all that keeps Joe from hiring
a new employee, then he has no business hiring a new employee to begin
with. Employees make you money.

Obama, I need the money.' I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on a 'Obama 08' tie, again I laughed as
he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that
I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there
in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to
someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server
angrily stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server
inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was
grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized
the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter
was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the
actual recipient deserved money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept
than in practical application.

The thing is what Obama is promising is re-distribution from the few to the
many. So its not surprising that it would not be popular. It won't be
popular with the few but in a democracy, they will lose to the many.

waiter, you did manage to feed two people and enrich the owner of the
restaurant. Since you must have disposable income to spend in fancy
restaurants, maybe that Bush tax cut is what you are spending. The
waiter and the restaurant owner had to pick up your fair share of the
tax burden. We cut the tax of the waiter and the restaurant owner and
they can put the homeless guy to work washing dishes or sweeping floors,
since the business will pick up when you pay your fair share and the
rest of us get a tax cut or rebate to spend at Joe's restaurant.

No, he said 95% of workers will get a tax cut. You're mixing apples
and oranges.
But it's immaterial anyway -- there's nothing wrong with progressive
tax rates. They made this country the most prosperous in the world,

income.
If ya' earned income, you paid taxes - 7.45% at the absolute minimum.
If a portion of that is refunded, it's a tax cut.

work? Obama's answer is to give then a tax credit i.e. a payment, which must
