Turnback Canyon Regatta

Hey Roadrunners!

Turnback Canyon Regatta is this weekend. Big thank you to Bill Records
for making an Opti start possible this year! This will be a great
experience for all our Opti sailors and I am really looking forward to
it!

My list of confirmed sailors for this weekend is:

If you are not on this list, and would like to participate, please let
me know as soon as possible. We have two more boats available.

Please note that there is no online registration for Optis.
Registration will be in person Saturday morning from 8:00 to 9:00. I
will be handling all the registration for our class so please look for
me. Registration is $35 for all Optis and includes a tee shirt and one
meal ticket for the Saturday night crawfish boil. If you would like to
purchase additional shirts or tickets, you can do so online at:

The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

Saturday 5/26
8-9am - Registration - Brunch - Check In. Pick Up dinner tickets, tee
shirts, and SI's.
9:30am Skipper's Meeting
10:30am First Horn for the Saturday Race.
4:00pm Beach Party Starts. Music from 4-10pm.
5:30pm - 7:00pm Crawfish Boil Dinner.

Sunday 5/27:
8-9am Complimentry Breakfast Taco's.
10:00am First Horn for Sunday's Race.
1pm - Lunch and Fund Raiser for our Junior Sailors.
2pm - Trophy Presentation.

Please note that we have a Roadrunner fundraiser on the 27th from 1:00
to 2:00 pm and we still need volunteers. We will be grilling hot dogs
for the competitors. This is an annual event that can be very
successful for our program if we get enough support. The Roadrunner
fleet board has just approved the purchase of new Opti sails and this
fundraiser could really help us out! I have broken down the fundraiser
into hour shifts:

12:00-1:00 Set up
1:00-2:00 Cooking
2:00-3:00 Clean-Up

If your Roadrunner is sailing the regatta, please volunteer for at
least one shift. I would love to have families help out who are not
racing as well. This is a great opportunity for the Basics/Beginners
group to come out and get involved. Please sign up if you can!!
