Weekly Roadrunner Update 11/2

Hey Roadrunners! 

I heard that the clinic with Alan Rochard this past Saturday was fantastic! A huge thank you to him for coming out and working with our Green Fleet! I look forward to seeing what you all learned!

As the temperatures drop and the water gets colder, our schedule is kind of up in the air. Please make sure you check your email weekly as practice/event times are subject to change. Bill Records and I will be putting our heads together this week to make some further decisions about the remainder of our season– such as scheduling a cruise and what to do about Daylight's Savings. 

This week's practices will be at their usual times. Beginner's will practice tomorrow, Thursday, from 4:00 to 6:30. Green Fleet will have a racing practice on Saturday from 1:30 to 4:00, followed by Lasers 4:00 to 6:30. Please remember to RSVP! 

Also if you plan on sailing with us for the duration of the season, PLEASE make sure you check the weather before coming out and dress appropriately. The forecast for tomorrow is 67 degrees and WINDY so I would recommend quick dry layers and a closed toe shoes. Don't forget to bring dry clothes to change into after practice. The safety and health of all our sailors is my number one priority so those that are not dressed warmly enough will be asked to stay ashore. If you are in need of foul weather gear, Academy has a great selection. Or if you are interested in purchasing a wet suit, Sail & Ski on 620 should have a good variety. Make sure to mention AYC for a discount. Please let me know if you have further questions or any recommendations/good deals!
