Hey Roadrunners!
The Roadrunner Regatta is only 9 days away! If you have not registered yet, please do so before
tomorrow, February 24th to avoid an additional $5 fee. Registration is through
txsail.org. If you plan on racing one of AYC's boats, enter 000s where it asks you for the sail number– I will assign numbers next week. We have quite a few junior sailors registered and I'm excited to have AYC so well represented. However, we still could use some extra hand, especially with meals and registration. Please let me know if you are intere
sted in volunteering or go ahead and contact the committees yourself:
OFF THE WATER
We will be having practice for all Roadrunner Regatta participants this Saturday, February 25th from 1:30 to 4:00 with special guest coach Alan Rochard. The forecast for Saturday is 61 degrees and partly cloudy with projected winds around 8 knots. However, the water is chilly so please dress appropriately and in layers! We will be working on starts and will be running several races. This practice will be extremely valuable, especially after the long winter break, so please make sure to attend. I will be rigging the boats before practice to maximize our time spent on the water, so please remember to RSVP so I know how many boats we will need.
For those of you not participating in the RR Regatta, we will be resuming our regular season practices on Saturday, March 10th. However, feel free to volunteer to help out either on or off the water and help support our Roadrunners!
As always, feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions, etc. Thanks!
Coach Kate
