I've learned today about this project. I think it's a really good idea
and approach.

But I want to warn about possible problem, as I see it. Browsers won
in part because they were simpler. Making full-blown UI on desktop
OSes, while allowing for fine-tuning, requires a lot of efforts and
knowledge of a suboptimal system. We shouldn't just add features upon
features, becoming yet another Windows GUI.

Ideally the foundation of UI engine would be fixed, having a small
number of well known, rather orthogonal primitives. In this aspect
browsers show a rather good approach.

Frankly, manifesto paragraph starting with "Features like Object
Orientation in the UI language..." almost makes me shrug. Don't go
there blindly.

Hello and welcome to he mailing list!

Objects not like those of say Java or Javascript, see some more here: http://spec.axr.vg/specification.html#1.2.4 . If you find anything wrong with this implementation, feel free to shout or submit an issue in the spec repository: http://www.github.com/axr/specification .

AFAIK AXR and HSS do not have any features like buttons, radiobuttons, etc in the spec. These features are part of the HSS framework.

If you need any help setting up need or you need any details on AXR, you're more than welcome on the #AXR irc channel on irc.freenode.net.
