AXEL v1.3.1 beta is out

Hello,

Once again this mailing list has been silent for a while, but AXEL (Adaptable XML Editing Library) development is still going on together with its companion library AXEL-FORMS.

The latest version of AXEL (1.3.1 beta) has seen the removal of some legacy code such as the 'string' plugin, since the library now has seen its plugin and filter APIs finalized [1][2]. We are trying to catch up with our roadmap, so expect to see some changes and improvements in the next months.

One of the nice features of the new demonstration editor is that it supports hash URLs to preload templates and / or data.

So, with the version published on AXEL web site, the following URL:
http://ssire.github.io/axel/editor/editor.xhtml#samples/Article+../data/article/final.xml
should open the demonstration editor with the samples/Article.xhtml template and load the ../data/article/final.xml document.

This will be used for documentation purpose, to be able to give a quick access to plugin, filter, command and binding examples right from the wiki or documentation pages.

So for instance you can check the following AXEL-FORMS plugin :

or the following AXEL-FORMS binding:
http://ssire.github.io/axel-forms/editor/editor.xhtml#bindings/Regexp

Both libraries are managed the same way:
- a GitHub repository with the latest versions (code and documentation) [a] and [b]
- a GitHub gh-pages web site to publish a "usable" web site embedding the demonstration editor and samples [c] and [d]
- a Wiki (also on Github) presenting the roadmap and in progress documentation [e] and [f]
