filter disappearing

I am using a glow filter on a mesh, triggered by a Mouse3D over event.
It seems to work correctly when I am 'close' to that mesh, but has I
mover further away the filter no longer shows even though the function
is still being called as my trace continues to show it. Anybody know
my problem? thanks.

got it working - turned out it was a problem with correctly setting
owncanvas/pushback etc of each child
