Subject: Wireless USB links - Not wireless network
I have had a request to find out if there is such a thing as a wireless replacement for a USB cable.  We have a room with a smart type whiteboard that links to a computer via USB A/B cable but the two are separated by about a 25 foot cable run.  I can get an active cable but if there is such a thing as a wireless USB then that would be a great  help.  I'm not seeing anything in web searches.

Just remember--

The best conceived, best designed, best manufactured, best installed, best maintained, and best operated wireless solution is almost as good as a cable.

I haven't seen any wireless USB connections either, except for the typical w/l keyboard or mouse that has a receiver connected to a USB port.  The smartboard is essentially acting as a big mouse, so maybe some clever engineering or comp. sci. student can figure out a way to graft parts of a wireless mouse to the smartboard and turn it into a big wireless mouse-equivalent.  Don't hold your breath.

It only works on SMARTboards, but I think that is what you have....

Thanks.  It is actually a Panaboard or something like that from Panasonic.

I've never used this device but Gefen is a known brand.
