I'm having some difficulties installing autokey-gtk from ppa on a notebook
running kubuntu oneiric. Once I get the problem isolated, I'll post
specifics.

The problem I just noticed is that when I ran
sudo apt-get purge autokey-gtk

~/.config/autokey was not deleted.

I had manually changed some things in there and wanted a clean do over.

Shouldn't a purge delete that directory?

I will manually delete it and go from there.

Purge will not and should not delete user configuration files, as for
example with networked home directories it is not appropriate to remove
such user data.
