Predicitive text

I've always thought a ubiquitous predictive text system would be
great, even while writing this post (who knows how to spell ubiquitous
off the top of their head?). The nearest thing I've found is this
engine:

but nothing implementing it as a service everywhere, and was thinking
maybe autokey could blaze that trail, it'd be automatic and to do with
keys after all?!

Anyone agree and know if this or something similar's been suggested
before?

I think this is a reasonable suggestion - I won't have time to work on
it in the near future though.
