Can publish when all release states are selected but not when I opt
for a specific state. All topics have release states (except the book
itself).

Any ideas what is going wrong (or rather what I am not doing right)?!

Hi Erica,
Did you sort it out? It seemed like you had the answer in the question -
the book needs a release state too. I haven't worked much with Release
States and I wanted to experiment and then answer you but I didn't get a
chance.

Hope you solved the problem.

Jo

Hi Erica,

Maybe graphics or other objects used in the topics also need to be
assigned release states?

A general note/rant....it would be good if Author-IT could put a list
of all their possible error messages in one place on their
knowledgebase, and the meanings of the messages with possible
solutions. Some of the error messages do not provide any clue as to
where or how to fix problems. Anyone else with me on this?

Chanukah Sameach,

Debbie

Hi Debbie

Yes that's logical isn't it.. I will check. Have tried to post a new case
(but couldn't even succeed at doing that for some strange reason)!

I'll check the graphics and let you know. Thanks for the response.

Yes, with you re error messages.. !

Me too - a reference to a list of error messages and their common causes -
merged with a short troubleshooting tips section - would be lovely
