Hi all to bad the interesting cloud area over western Vic is associated with a high level weak V/Max.....most cloud activity above 25.000, still a bit of cold uppers may help the weak surface trough developing across northern Vic today and Sat.....Clyve H

Looks OK for showers and some storms with this system the next 48
hours over eastern Vic - LAPS has as much as 10-25mm locally.
Melbourne and central areas are just to far west.... so a real long
shot to see anything but we can always hope.

A few good storms and showers yesterday with that system, and even
continuing ATM towards Bright. Good to see some areas still getting
rainfall.

Got fog and drizzle ATM in the Dandenongs in convergent SE flow
associated with the surface trough. May squeeze out 0.4mm before it
all clears.

Looks good today in NE Vic.

In Wang atm, heaps more moisture than yesterday, plus the sky this
morning is filled with altocumulus :)

Me thinks today will see some good storms up this way.

Hi all....No dribble here in Trentham.....although mid and upper cloud
spread in early...mainly cirrus and patchy glaciated mid level Altocu/alto
stratus associated with another upper trough.....Another cold night down to
5.7c, humidity up....yesterday a few medium to occasional congesting Cu that
promptly evaporated when the sea breeze wafted though after 1600 then
stronger cooling late evening with a few gusts up to 40kph ....regards Clyve

Hi Nick,
Plenty of Cu and Large Cu about here too .They were developing over the ranges earlier when we could  see some Cb with showers well to our southwest, now the Cu is widely spred over the area.Canberra Radar is showing quite a bit of activity over the Snowys and Eastern Victoria too.I agree with you but they will still be high based out your way.

Strange day indeed. Had 0.5mm in drizzly fog which started about 7am
and didn't clear to mid-day. At 12pm it was just 13C then suddenly
cloud cleared, sun came out and it ended at a sticky 23C. Went from
winter to summer in about 1 hour..

Great to see storms continuing through the east - hopefully things are
still damp enough and the storms wet enough not to put down spot
fires.
